" Laughing Water "

film, 7' 05", Iceland, 2006

Project by Monika Fryčová and Frederik Gudmundsson

A record of 20-year-old 8 mm expired films forgotten in the attic

of an old house in Reykjavik. The sound was recorded on

a dictaphone. It is an experimental film about communication,

feelings and the nature of Iceland.

The idea was to work 7 pieces of short films and let them

be independent until the pieces meet each other, creating

a feature film that will give us an different point of view

from the stories that they already told.

Math, philosophy, and physics are involved to a large part of

the philosophy that makes the movie complete.
