 Monika Fryčová(*1983 in Prostějov, Czech Republic)received her B.A. in Video-Multimedia-Performance at the Fine Arts Faculty,University of Technology in Brno, Czech Republic; at present she is an M.A. candidate in atelier Video at the same University under prof. Peter Rónai. In the 2004/5 academic year she carried out an independent study plan in the USA and Mexico, in 2006, she received an internship at the Iceland Academy of the Arts, in 2008 independent study plan in Reykjavik. Monika Fryčová is the author of several audio-visual projects in which her poetry, music, video and photography mutually interact and create a dense interweaving of expression. She has already had a number of both solo and group installations,shows and collaboration. The most fundamental element in her work is performance, in which she as an experimenter is not hindered by working with any sort of media, mystification or uncertainty, her expressions provoking and arousing the public. One of her constant themes is the appreciation and understanding of space, constantly found and again deserted. She is cosmopolitan, grasping the world not only in its diversity, but also in its temporal transformations.Her projects are presented in galleries, festivals, and open public spaces.
